Superhero Catsuits Launched

Due to popular demand Grid Girl Outfits have decided to release 4 superhero catsuits. These are the latest products to drop in our “Buy Now” range.

80% of our business comes from bespoke made items, where business to business clients request outfits specifically created for their sporting event or business event. But the remaining 20% of our business comes from end-users who require outfits for personal or other use. Some times bars, clubs and other organisations like to quickly select a “buy now” item and quickly have it dispatched to them for their upcoming event.

So let’s dive into the four characters we have released...

1) Batgirl

Batgirl operates in Gotham City, allying herself with Batman and the original Robin, Dick Grayson, along with other masked vigilantes. The character appeared regularly in Detective Comics, Batman Family, and several other books produced by DC until 1988. That year, Barbara Gordon appeared in Barbara Kesel's Batgirl Special #1, in which she retires from crime-fighting. She subsequently appeared in Alan Moore's graphic novel Batman: The Killing Joke where, in her civilian identity, she is shot by the Joker and left paraplegic. Although she is reimagined as the computer expert and information broker Oracle by editor Kim Yale and writer John Ostrander the following year, her paralysis sparked debate about the portrayal of women in comics, particularly violence depicted toward female characters.

The Black Batgirl catsuit comes with a front zip and is available in all sizes from XXS right up to 3XL. Everything on the outfit has been sublimated, meaning the colours and graphics will never fade or peel off. The yellow belt and boots and printed into the fabric.

2) Supergirl

Supergirl is the name of several fictional superheroine characters appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The original and most well known Supergirl is Kara Zor-El, who is the cousin of the superhero Superman. The character made her first appearance in Action Comics #252 (May 1959) and was created by Otto Binder and Al Plastino. Created as a female counterpart to Superman, Kara Zor-El shares his superpowers and vulnerability to Kryptonite. Supergirl plays a supporting role in various DC Comics publications, including Action Comics, Superman, and several comic book series unrelated to Superman. In 1969, Supergirl's adventures became the lead feature in Adventure Comics, and she later starred in an eponymous comic book series which debuted in 1972 and ran until 1974, followed by a second monthly comic book series, The Daring New Adventures of Supergirl, which ran from 1982 to 1984. The Blue supergirl catsuit comes with a front zip and is available in all sizes from XXS right up to 3XL. Everything on the outfit has been sublimated, meaning the colours and graphics will never fade or peel off. The red boots and printed into the fabric and are part of the outfit.

3) Spidergirl

May "Mayday" Parker is a fictional superheroine appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. She has been referred to as both Spider-Girl and Spider-Woman. The character appears in the MC2 universe. The character was created by Tom DeFalco and Ron Frenz as the teenage daughter of Peter Parker (Spider-Man) and Mary Jane Watson, and first appeared in What If (vol. 2) No. 105 (February 1998). She later acquired her own ongoing comic book, Spider-Girl, written by DeFalco and drawn by Frenz and Pat Olliffe, which was the longest-running superhero book with a lead female character ever published by Marvel before being relaunched as The Amazing Spider-Girl, and later The Spectacular Spider-Girl.

The Red and Blue spider girl catsuit comes with a front zip and is available in all sizes from XXS right up to 3XL. Everything on the outfit has been sublimated, meaning the colours and graphics will never fade or peel off. The red boots and printed into the fabric and are part of the outfit.

4) Avengers

Our 4th catsuits features the Avengers design and is not a specific character, but we thought it would look really cool and made the design. The Avengers are a fictional team of superheroes appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The team made its debut in The Avengers #1 (cover-dated Sept. 1963), created by writer-editor Stan Lee and artist/co-plotter Jack Kirby. The Avengers is Lee and Kirby's renovation of a previous superhero team, All-Winners Squad, who appeared in comic books series published by Marvel Comics' predecessor Timely Comics. Labeled "Earth's Mightiest Heroes", the Avengers originally consisted of Ant-Man, the Hulk, Iron Man, Thor, and the Wasp. Ant-Man had become Giant-Man by issue #2. The original Captain America was discovered trapped in ice in issue #4, and joined the group after they revived him. A rotating roster became a hallmark of the series, although one theme remained consistent: the Avengers fight "the foes no single superhero can withstand." The team, famous for its battle cry of "Avengers Assemble!", has featured humans, mutants, Inhumans, androids, aliens, supernatural beings, and even former villains. The Blue, Red & White avengers catsuit comes with a front zip and is available in all sizes from XXS right up to 3XL. Everything on the outfit has been sublimated, meaning the colours and graphics will never fade or peel off. The red boots and printed into the fabric and are part of the outfit.
